Garden Series by Nell Close

Nell Close, fine artist

still painting after all these years

Now working from a studio in South Norfolk, Nell was originally awarded an honours degree in textile design and went on to lecture at Cleveland College of Art and Design, now called the Northern School of Art.

She enjoys exploring shapes and energies found in nature and seeks to depict something of the exotic in this world using colours and harmonies that effervesce and in so doing reach out as if to touch the infinite.

Nell creates images that invite the viewer to relax, absorb and appreciate the unique message each piece of artwork conveys.

Major exhibitions and galleries representing her work include:

Primavera Cambridge.

Bircham Contemporary Art.

Expo ’99, New York, USA.

Cork Brick Gallery, Bungay, Suffolk.

Mandell’s Gallery, Elm Hill, Norwich

Her work has also been exhibited in Rouen, France; Koblenz, Germany and in Novisad, Serbia.
